Playa del Inglés

With almost 3 kilometres of golden sand and calm waters, this wide beach is the heart of the destination. Its length visually connects with the Maspalomas dunes.

Just south of Playa del Inglés, this protected area of more than 400 hectares combines dunes, a saltwater lagoon and palm groves. It’s one of the most iconic natural landscapes in the south of Gran Canaria.

At the eastern end, San Agustín offers a quieter beach, ideal for families. Just before reaching it, the small Las Burras Beach stands out for its calm waters, protected from the waves by breakwaters.

One of the liveliest carnivals in the Canary Islands, with parades, gala shows and concerts that fill the Yumbo Centrum area with rhythm and colour.

Every May, Playa del Inglés hosts one of the largest LGTBI events in Europe, with parties, shows and parades in a festive and diverse atmosphere.
