Casablanca is a city in constant motion, and its cultural calendar is a great way to experience it. Music, cinema and urban culture come together at events that connect the city with contemporary Moroccan creativity and artists from around the world. If you want to add a cultural experience to your stay, these three events are a great place to start.

Jazzablanca, Music to Discover Another Side of the City

Jazzablanca is one of Casablanca’s established music events. Held annually since 2006, it brings together jazz and other contemporary genres in a programme featuring international artists alongside different voices from the music scene.

Beyond the concerts, the festival offers a different way to experience Casablanca’s atmosphere and discover how music forms part of the city’s cultural life.

Casablanca Arab Film Festival, a Window into Arab Cinema

The Casablanca Arab Film Festival turns cinema into a meeting point for filmmakers and audiences. Its programme focuses on productions from the Arab world and includes screenings and events dedicated to the seventh art.

It is an opportunity to discover new stories and perspectives while exploring Casablanca’s connection with contemporary film culture.

L’Boulevard, the City’s Urban and Creative Side

Since the late 1990s, L’Boulevard has been part of Casablanca’s cultural scene. Contemporary music, emerging artists and different expressions of urban culture come together at a festival closely connected with younger generations and independent creativity.

If you are staying at BLUESEA Razan, in Casablanca Finance City, you can combine sightseeing around the city with one of these events if it coincides with your travel dates.

Jazzablanca, the Casablanca Arab Film Festival and L’Boulevard reveal three sides of a creative and contemporary Casablanca: music, cinema and urban culture. Three recurring events worth keeping on your radar when planning your trip.
